Home Owner’s Insurance

Protect Your BIGGEST Investment

Homeowners insurance protects your house and the property inside of it. It also covers you if someone is injured on your property, which may involve liability or legal responsibility caused by you, your family members, even your pets, against other people.

You’re protected against disasters such as fire and theft. And don’t forget about hail, after all, we live in Texas! Some disasters are not covered, such as flood damage, so if you live in a flood zone, you may need a separate policy. Maintenance related problems, are of course, not covered under insurance.

Whoever your agent is, make sure you discuss how much it will cost to rebuild your house and replace your belongings if damaged or destroyed, as this will affect your policy. Make sure you find out the reputation of your insurance company regarding customer service and settling claims fairly and quickly.

Don’t forget to ask about any discounts, such as for multiple policy, security systems, etc.

Renters: Even if you don’t own your home, you should consider your financial exposure in your apartment or rented home. Rental insurance is usually very reasonable in cost compared to losses due to damage or theft. Did you know that if you live in an apartment and the person above you has a water leak, you’re going to shoulder the cost of harm to your own property, even if it’s not your fault?

Condo: If you own a condo, the insurance included in your association usually only covers exterior and common areas. Everything indoors, including interior structures, needs to be covered by you. Don’t get left short, Davis & Associates will make sure you have adequate protection.
